I had the opportunity to expand my skillsets into video editing shortly after I first arrived in New Zealand in 2016.

These were some of my first pieces of video editing work for Gracecity (previously Greenlane Christian Centre), a non-denominational church. My first piece was a mission statement video that played at the beginning of each of their Sunday services. The other was the beginning of many sermon message video bumpers—introduction videos to the message series, much like a teaser video.

I especially appreciated working on the video bumpers. They involved some ideation that spanned static creatives and a video bumper which made the projects both challenging and exciting for me. Video editing was a new subject to me then and I learned a lot from other content creators on YouTube and Skillshare.
